Welcome to Peacock Class!

I hope that you had an amazing summer break and that you enjoyed spending time with those you love the most and feel rested and ready to smash this autumn term!

I’m really looking forward to seeing you all and getting to know you all properly. Our humanities subject this term will be history and the topic will be World War 1. After half term we will be moving our focus onto Geography and starting a unit called “spacial sense” which teaches the children key geographic skills and knowledge such as time zones, hemispheres and about the different climates around the world.

In science this term we will be looking at the human body and the amazing things it does every day to keep us alive. Following that, after half term, we will be looking at the classification of living things.

Times tables and reading:

The children are expected to practise their times tables for 5 minutes and to read independently or with an adult for 15 minutes each day. Please support your child by listening to them read, asking questions about the text and helping with any unfamiliar words.

Thank you so much for your support. If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
